Unemployment in Poland seventh-lowest in European Union

The unemployment rate in Poland was confirmed at 4.4 percent in March of 2018 which is the seventh-lowest rate among all the 28 European Union countries, Eurostat, the European Union’s statistics office, stated.

Compared to February of this year, the unemployment rate remained unchanged though it fell by 0.7 percentage points year-on-year. 754,000 people were registered as unemployed in Poland in March, said Eurostat. The lowest unemployment rate in the European Union was recorded in the Czech Republic with 2.2 percent, followed by Malta with 3.3 percent and Germany with 3.4 percent.
