Both Łódź teams, Widzew and ŁKS, can look back at a successful weekend as they managed to secure the three points in their matches, strengthening their position in Liga 2 after 2 matches played.
First up was Widzew Łódź as they travelled to Motor Lubawa on Saturday afternoon. In front of 800 spectators, Widzew secured the three points with two early goals by Mąka in the 13th and Budka in the 20th minute. After two matches, Widzew is leading group 1 of Liga 3 (4th Polish league) with 6 points.
In the early evening hours of Sunday (14.08.), ŁKS Łódź welcomed Ruch Wysokie Mazowieckie to the city stadium at Aleja Unii Lubelskiej 2. An early goal by Michał Michałek in the 3rd minute opened a goal frenzy as ŁKS defeated the guests by 7:0. The remaining goals were scored by: Jewhen Radionow 37th, 49th, Artur Golański 66th, Jakub Nowak 79th, Maksym Kowal 83th and Mariusz Cichowlas 90th.
