Polish President Andrzej Duda has signed his party’s flagship bill into law. The new law is intended to encourage families to have more children.
“This money will go to the market for small and medium-sized companies” – said the president before signing the bill. Duda hopes that the program will encourage young people to have children. Currently, 23 percent of children in Poland live in poverty. The goal of the program “Family 500 Plus” is to see the level of poverty drop to 11 percent.
