The Polish instant messenger Gadu-Gadu has changed ownership. It’s new owner, Xevin Consulting Limited, finalized the transaction on Friday (30.10.)
Following a statement sent by GG to its users on Sunday, the new owner said that they are currently in the process of verification and evaluation of development work. Within a few months the investor will present trends and shall decide on the further strategy for the communicator.
The GG Network (formerly e-mail and SMS Express) was a virtual mobile operator GaduAIR and Internet telephony Skype onset. According to Megapanel, GG recorded 717 million page views, ranking second behind Wirtualna Polska and before Grupa Onet-RASP. Megapanel also states that 2.9 million users made use of GG in September alone.
Xevin specializes in new media and technology. It focuses its activities on the markets of Central and Eastern Europe, where it is actively involved in the development of the market for new technologies and media. Xevin was founded in 2008 by three partners.
