Poland grants Ukraine 100 Million Euro Loan

The Polish government passed a resolution to grant Ukraine a loan of up to 100 million euro. The decision was announced by Minister of Finance Mateusz Szczurek at a press conference. He explained that the a loan was originally promised by Prime Minister Ewa Kopacz during a visit to Kyiv at the beginning of this year.

The loan is to be used to finance the modernization of road infrastructure at the Polish- Ukrainian border and border crossings. Ukraine agreed that at least 60% of the works financed through the loan will be carried out by Polish companies. Mr Szczurek explained this will allow to support both Polish industry and Ukraine’s economy.
