– Medical care is a delicate matter. Try to imagine helplessness resulting from inability to communicate during an illness. At the same time, every year a number of foreigners who settle in Poland or visit our country is increasing. We know that many of them cope with communication problems when they need medical assistance. Therefore we decided to establish American Clinic Warsaw, a place where they will be able to feel almost like at home – says Tucson Dunn, Director of the Medicover Hospital in Wilanów.
Patients of American Clinic Warsaw will be taken care of by qualified personnel speaking fluent English. Moreover, individual doctors speak fluently Russian, French, Ukrainian and Arabic. Internal medicine, paediatric and gynaecological consultations will be available on daily basis. The service of pregnancy care will be available to female patients in English and Russian. If assistance of doctors of other specialties or advanced diagnostics are needed, patients will be able to use the resources of the Medicover Hospital in Wilanów and consultations of doctors from the first-rate University of Chicago Medicine, who will visit the clinic to carry out consultations and will ensure access to international medical expertise.
Each person under medical care of American Clinic Warsaw will have a dedicated Individual Patient’s Advisor who will co-ordinate one’s care with a leading doctor and a nurse. Results of medical tests will be communicated to patients in English.
Patients may plan their visits in advance, but American Clinic Warsaw will also be ready to receive emergency cases. The Clinic will co-operate with PAMS (the Polish-American Medical Society) in Chicago and will adhere to foreign standards and practices regarding patient service.
