In Łódź News

From this Monday (01.08.) onwards, shoppers at the Port Łódź shopping center will have even easier access to transport to and from the center as the public bicycle network in Łódź will open its 101st station at the center.

The rental station at the Port Łódź shopping center will be the first sponsored station, with its patrons being the shopping center itself and furniture store IKEA. It will also be the first station outside of the Łódź central district networks of stations.

The new station, with 10 docks for bicycles, will be open to the public from Monday (01.08.2016) 10:00. The same rules as with all other stations apply. The first 20 minutes of rental are free of charge. First hour – 1 PLN, second hour – 3 PLN and third and every subsequent hour is charged at 5 PLN.

Since their launch at the end of April this year, Łódź public bicycles have proven to be popular among residents and visitors. As Nextbike Polska reported this week, within the first three month, the rental system recorded over 55,000 user registrations and 900,000 rentals.
