The new owners of Palace Heinzl want to restore it to its former glory

The restoration of the palace of Ludwik Heinzl in Lagiewniki, with a park and surrounding fence will cost about 30 million zlotych. Its new owners will take up residence in it.

The palace, built in 1899 by baron Ludwik Heinzl and his wife, has been sold by the city of Łódź to entrepreneur Kamil Bilinski and his father Waldemar for 6.8 mln zlotych. Mr Bilinski and his father run a family textile business.

The building has been decaying for years. Now it has a chance to be revived by private investors. Renovating the building and the park that surrounds it will cost approx 30 mln zlotych. The new owners intend to move in to the palace but consider leaving the two floors of the building open to the public so that residents of Łódź will be able to view the inside of the palace which will be decorated in the style of the turn of the 19th century.
