The provincial police headquarters in Łódź has a new chief. Andrzej Lapinski, former chief of the municipal police in Bialystok has been sworn in to his new role.
Inspector Lapinski was appointed by the Minister of Internal Affairs and Administration at the request of the Chief of Police. He is 44 years old and began his police service in 1992. Lapinski is a law graduate from the University of Bialystok and the higher police school in Szczytno. Since the beginning of his police career, Lapinksi was assigned to the criminal division.
