Leave your car at home – Free public transport in Łódź on Friday

As part of a European wide initiate, the European Mobility Week, Łódź residents will be able to enjoy a free ride on public transport throughout the whole day on Friday (22.09.17). All they have to do is present their car registration papers when checked for tickets.

“Dzień bez samochodu”, or day without car, will be marked across various European city this Friday, 22.09.17. During the whole day, travel on public transport will be free of charge. Holders of car registrations are able to use buses and trams across the MPK Łódź network without the need of buying a ticket if they leave their car at home.

Free public transport will be available to owners of passenger cars and their accompanying passengers – in total the owner plus as many passengers as the number of seats in the car, based on the registration certificate of the car.

Dzień bez samochodu has been around in Poland since 2004 and has been growing in popularity year after year.
