Fire at Church in Mileszki leaves one of Łódz’s oldest monuments in ruins

In Łódź News

A fire broke out at St Dorothy’s Church in Mileszki last night (31.08.). Firefighters were alarmed by the Church’s automatic fire alarm system at approx. 4am.

Although fire brigades were dispatched to the scene immediately, upon their arrival the church roof already caught fire, leaving the efforts of over 17 fire brigades fruitless.

The church was built in the sixteenth century and was one of the oldest monuments in Łódz.
