Drunk driver without license carrying two children – Łódź man faces two years in prison

A 32 year old man from Łódź will have to attend court following a traffic police control in the center of the city. The driver was under the influence of alcohol, had no license and carried two children in the car.


The check was carried out at ul. Sienkiewicza in the center of Łódź. Following closer inspection, police officers found that the man did not hold a valid drivers license, that the car did not pass mechanical inspection, did not have insurance and had 1 per mill of alcohol in the body. To make matters worse, the driver carried two children aged and three and four with him in the car.

Police arrested the driver and handed the children into the care of the mother. He faces up to two years in prison if convicted.
