Bomb alarm at Łódź Airport

In Łódź News

Authorities at Łódź Airport raised an alarm at around 16:30 this afternoon (22.02.) as an unattended piece of luggage raised their suspicions. Explosives experts and border guards sealed off the scene.

While the suitcase was inspected, boarder guards and airport security tried to locate the owner. As it turned out, the suitcase was left behind by a traveler upon arrival and picked up after she returned to the airport to look for her bag. The bomb alarm has since been cancelled.

Leaving luggage unattended at an airport or any other public place is a punishable offence and can carry a fine.
