One of the world’s largest online retailers is mulling opening a fourth warehouse in Poland, with a Polish-language website in the works.
The company already employs 6,000 people at three warehouses, and is looking for open another centre in central Poland, around the town of Stryków, the Rzeczpospolita daily reports.
The warehouse would supply customers in Poland. At present the three Polish hubs send goods purchased on amazon.de – the German-language version of the site.
Amazon is working on rolling out a Polish version of its website next year, Rzeczpospolita said.
“Such a decision would be confirmation that the Polish market is not only ready to accept a global leader in e-commerce, but it can also support its further development,” said Robert Dobrzycki, Managing Partner of Panattoni Europe.
