On 1 May 2015 Swiss International Air Lines and Kraków Airport officially opened a new route from Kraków to Zurich. Swiss International Air Lines are returning to Kraków Airport after several years of absence.
From Friday 1 May the Swiss carrier will operate on the Zurich-Krakow route four times a week. Flights will be operated on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays. The direct connection with Zurich’s main airport Kloten is an interesting offer of both business and tourist flights for residents of the region.
Passengers flying from Kraków to Zurich were offered information materials about the tourist attractions of Switzerland provided by Switzerland Tourism (c/o Embassy of Switzerland). After landing in Kraków, passengers of the first flight from Zurich received strings of beads which are a symbol of Małopolska, provided by the Małopolska Tourist Organisation, and materials on the sights of Krakow, provided by the Kraków City Hall.
