In comparison, the fastest composition of PKP Intercity trains take 67 minutes, but the majority of trains take longer – about one and a half hours. – Our trains are lightweight and have good acceleration and are therefore able to cover the distance between Łódź and the capital faster -, says Janusz Malinowski, vice President of ŁKA.
ŁKA plans to start its new service on 13th of March. For now, the trains will run on weekends only. On both, Saturdays and Sundays, trains from Łódź will leave at 08:03 and 15:43 and from Warsaw to Łódź at 12:54 and 19:34. Tickets in both directions are expected to cost 24 PLN. – This is just the beginning. The number of connections will gradually increase. We assume that eventually there will be five connections over the weekend days. The schedule will then be spread evenly throughout the day. Following the purchase of additional rolling stock, we plan to run this connection on weekdays also-, says Janusz Malinowski.
