A late goal last night (03.05.) secured Widzew Łódź the vital three points in their fight for promotion to Liga 2 (Polish third league) as they defeated Huragan Wołomin by 2:1 at the Widzew stadium.
Though it was the visitors who had reason to celebrate first, as Rafał Wieląde scored the 0:1 in the 39th minute, Widzew managed to get back into the match with the equalizer by Mateusz Michalsk in the 69th minute. The vital winning goal was scored by Marcin Krzywicki in the 86th minute.
With the win last night, Widzew keeps hot on the heels of local rivals ŁKS Łódź. ŁKS drew with Sokół Aleksandrów Łódzki 0:0 away from home.
