Stunning victory over Korea. Poland wins 2017 World Grand Prix in Ostrava

The Polish national women’s volleyball team has claimed the 2017 Group 2 World Grand Prix trophy following a stunning 3:0 victory over Korea at the RT Torax arena in Ostrava yesterday evening.

Following their 3:1 victory over the Czech Republic in the semi finals of the World Grand Prix tournament, Poland proceeded to defeat Korea with a stunning 3:0 win. Poland met with Korea twice before during the course of the Grand Prix, which saw Poland play tournaments in Argentina, Ostrowiec and Korea. The previous encounters with the Koreans ended in 3:1 and 3:0 defeats. Third time lucky, Poland finally managed to secure a win over Korea and claimed the group 2 2017 World Grand Prix title during the final tournament at the RT Torax arena in Ostrava, Czech Republic.

Korea – Poland 0:3 (19 – 25, 21 – 25, 21 – 25)
