Speedway team Orzeł Łódź defended the top spot of the Polish speedway Liga 1 (second league). The eagles defeated Stal Rzeszow away from home by 41:49 on Sunday afternoon (11.06.17) .



Orzeł Łódź can look back at four victories out of the last four speedway meetings, securing the top spot in the 2nd Polish speedway league. Without any major issues, the Eagles comfortably defeated Stal Rzeszow by 41:49 yesterday afternoon.

Though Orzeł hangs on to their lead in the league table, second placed Grupa Azoty Unia Tarnow keeps hot on their heels as the Tarnow team celebrated a 39:51 victory over Euro Finannce Polonia Piła in the north-west of the country. With two meetings less than the Łódź team, Unia keeps a tight grip on the league leaders with only one point dividing the two.

Both, Orzeł Łódź and Unia Tarnow, are now preparing for next Sunday as both teams will go head to head to fight for the first place in the table. The meeting between the two sides is scheduled to kick off at 18:00 on Sunday 18th of June.
