Speedway team Orzeł Łódź are still looking for their first points away from home in the 2017 Liga 1 season (Polish 2nd speedway league). Yesterday afternoon, the Eagles lost to a strong team of Euro Finannce Polonia Piła by 51:39.

Initially, the match was scheduled to take place on Monday 17th of April, however, due to heavy rain, which saw the track in Piła covered in puddles, the match had to be postponed until Sunday 14th of May.

Around 6,000 spectators, among them around 30 travelling supporters from Łódź, joined the riders in what seemed to be the first sunny Sunday this year, following the action as Euro Finannce Polonia Piła secured the first place in the Liga 1 table.

Next up, Orzeł Łódź plays host to Stal Rzeszów at the Orzeł stadium (ul. 6 Sierpnia) on Sunday 21st of May. Tickets for the meeting are available at 35 PLN (single) and 45 PLN (family ticket).
