The result would suggest that the 10237 spectators at the Inea Stadium in Poznan must have been everything but bored last night. One could not be more wrong. While Lech took the 2:0 lead very early in the game, with goals by Sadajew in the first and Linetty in the eight minute, Jagiellonia was able to come back as quick scoring the equalizing goal in the 27th minute by Arajuuri which was preceeded by Gajos’s 2:1 in the 15th.
From there on, the crowd was left with a disappointing kick which went into extra time during which Barry Douglas was able to wow the crowds for a brief moment with a superb strike in the 112th minute, which landed him on the scorers list for the evening. The game was rounded up with another goal by Karol Linetty in the 120th minute, sending Lech to the next round of Polish Cup 2014 / 15.
