Once again, Kacper Falon stepped in as the hero of the day as his late goal saved the three points for Widzew Łódź at the Widzew stadium yesterday evening (21.10.17). The men of trainer Franciszek Smuda defeated visitors Pelikan Łowicz by 2:1 in front of 17,246 fans.
With the victory and much desired three points, Widzew keeps a tight grip on league leaders Sokół Aleksandrów Łódzki, trailing the local rivals by 1 point (at the time of writing Sokół played one match less).
On matchday 14 of the 2017 / 2018 league 3 season (Polish fourth league), Widzew will travel to the capital city on Saturday 28th of October to take on Polonia Warszawa. The match next Saturday is scheduled to kick off at 17:00. Fans of Widzew will travel to the match by special train, taking well over 1,800 fans to the capital in an attempt to secure another victory.
