Great news for volleyball fans of Grot Budowlani Łódź as Kaja Grobelna will remain with the club for the upcoming 2017 / 18 season. The 22-year old Belgian attack player has played her first season in Poland during the 2016 / 17 Orlen Liga championship and has celebrated great victories already.

Last season, Grot Budowlani Łódź won silver in the Orlen Liga championship and came in second in the Polish cup. In addition, Grobelna has also secured 12 MVP trophies (most value player) throughout the season, setting a new record of MVPs won in one season. Until now, it was Rachel Rourke who held the record by winning 11 MVP trophies in the 2012 / 13 season during her spell at Atom Trefl Sopot.

– I am very happy to stay with Budowlani. Last season was an amazing experience for me because I have the possibility to live and play in Poland, I won silver in the championship and I met a lot of kind and great people. These are the main reasons which helped me to make my decision to stay with Budowlani for the 2017 / 18 season. At Budowlani, the training staff is very professional and the fans are incredible. When I made the decision to say in Łódź, I listened to my heart -, Kaja Grobelna said.
