Euro 2016 – Poland to meet with rivals Germany

The draw for the Euro 2016 group stages was made in Paris yesterday. Poland has been drawn into Group C along with Germany, Ukraine and Northern Ireland.

-We knew that there was nothing we could do about the draw, so that’s why we are so calm. Our group should be regarded as a strong one. These are top teams, like Germany, one of the best sides in the world in recent years, and obviously the world champions – says Adam Nawałka, Poland’s manager.

Northern Ireland and Ukraine are also good teams, and still developing. They are playing better and better football. So no doubt every game will be a challenge for us. Our aim is always to make it to the knockout stage – Nawałka adds.

– It’s a good draw. We will give Ukraine, Northern Ireland and, of course, Germany a good fight as we aim to reach the next round – stated Robert Lewandowski in his reaction to the draw.
