Fans of volleyball team Budowlani Łódź received an early Christmas present as the team comfortably netted three points in their last match of 2016. On the evening before the festive season (23.12.), Budowlani defeated KS PAŁAC Bydgoszcz by 3:0 at the Łuczniczka Arena in Bydgoszcz.
The team and 9 travelling fans had all reasons to celebrate at the Łuczniczka Arena in Bydgoszcz as they travelled back to Łódź with three vital points in their pockets, keeping a tight grip on league leaders Chemik Police. The last match of 2016 also completed the first round of the 2016 / 17 Orlen Liga (highest Polish women’s volleyball league). Out of 13 matches played, Budowlani secured 11 victories losing out only to Chemik Police (3:0) and MKS Dąbrowa Górnicza (3:2), both away from home.
Going into the new year and the second round of the season, Budowlani will first travel to Legionovia Legionowo on the 4th of January before playing host to Developres SkyRes Rzeszów on the weekend of 7th of January.
For the fourth time this season, Budowlani’s Kaja Grobelna earned the title of player of the match in yesterday evening’s match with PAŁAC Bydgoszcz.
