Basketball: Unlucky finish of the game for Widzew Łódź. 63:75 against Energa Toruń

In Sports

There was little doubt that the basketball ladies of Widzew Łódź were in for yet another tough ride as, on game day 6 of the 2017 / 18 womens basketball league, they welcomed Energa Toruń to the arena at ul. Malachowskiego in Łódź.

The Widzew ladies started into the game strong and confident, particularly newly signed Kathleen Scheer, Roksana Schmidt, Daria Zawidna and Klaudia Gertchen and found themselves 10 points up as the teams descended into the locker rooms for the break.

However, it was the team from Toruń that came back from the break stronger and managed the turn the game around and eventually managed to win the game by 63:75.

Next up, Widzew will travel west to take on Ostrovia Ostrów Wlkp. on Saturday 28th of October. The following weekend (4th of November), Widzew will play host to yet another tough opponent as they welcome CCC Polkowice to the Hala Parkowa in Łódź.
