Thousands gather across Poland to protest against new media law

Thousands have taken to the streets across Poland to protest against a new media which was signed into effect by President Duda last week. The protest spread across 20 Polish cities.


In Warsaw, where the biggest protest took place, demonstrators gathered in front of the TVP headquarters. City officials stated that around 20,000 people took part in the march, while Police speak of around 7,000 protesters.

In Łódź, several hundred people gathered carrying the red-white Polish flag as well as European Union symbols.
