Heavy storms cause havoc across Poland – Firefighters intervened over 1400 times

Heavy storms have caused havoc across Poland on Sunday, causing firefighters to be called out to intervene over 1,400 times, Radio Lodz reported on Monday morning.

In an interview with Paweł Frątczak, spokesperson for the state fire department, Radio Lodz was informed that firefighters were called out to assist mostly in the provinces of Silesia, Kujawsko-Pomorskie and Mazowieckie.

On Monday (27.06.), the weather should be calmer across the country with the exception of the south-east where some storms still may occur throughout the day and evening.
