Cold hits Poland – 21 dead across the country over the weekend

Police in Poland confirmed that at least 21 people have died during the last weekend. Temperatures across the country have dropped to as low as -20 degrees.


Police across the country have launched an initiative, actively seeking out homeless people or people in need of assistance. Police and city guards are appealing to tbe public not to be indifferent.

“Notify the police every time that someone is threatened with hypothermia,” – says Agnieszka Hamelusz, spokeswoman for the police.

In most Polish regions, the cold temperatures are set to last until Friday.
