The findings, among other things, are that the technical condition of the vehicle had no effect on the event. – Existing procedures also did not affect what happened. These are two key findings – says spokesman for MPK Łódź, Sebastian Grochala. – Until we have full clarification and understanding of the circumstances that lead to the tram running through the center of the city unmanned, in case of failure of trams of type Pesa Swing, repairs will not be carried out in the city but trams will first return to the depot.

The committee is made up of experts from MPK Łódź, police and engineers from PESA. The next committee meeting will be held on Monday 4th of July by which time MPK Łódź expects to know what has caused the incident last Friday.

On Friday, 24th of June, a tram of type PESA Swing suddenly started moving while repairs were being performed on it. The tram ran unmanned from al. Kosciuszki to Plac Niepodległości.
