As part of the revitalization of the center of Łódź, city authorities announced plans for their next project. This time, the city presented their plans for Plac Komuny Paryskiej, located behind the city hall building.
The area of Plac Komuny Paryskiej is currently used as a parking lot behind the city hall building, not allowing for any leisure activities such as city center walks or playgrounds for children.
As part of their “greener & friendlier Łódź” initiative, the city’s authorities have revealed their plans for the square. The surface of the square, as well as the adjacent streets, will be completely exchanged. The new square will feature benches, new lighting and bicycle racks. A playground for younger residents will also be build.
In addition, three pavilions will be build which will include a restroom, a tourist information desk and a small café.
