From November 1st, Łódź based railway company LKA will add more trains on Lodz Kaliska – Lodz Widzew route. The 15-kilometer journey will take 20 minutes and costs 3 zloty. Some of these connections will be extended to Zgierz.
LKA will initially launch six journeys between Kaliska and Lodz Widzew and seven in the opposite direction.
From December 14 – after the introduction of the new winter train timetables – it anticipates to launch a total of eight pairs of trains (16 connections) in both directions.
The trains will stop at three intermediate stops – Lodz Chojny, modernized Lodz Pabianicka and Lodz Dabrowa.
Three pairs of trains will travel on the extended route to Zgierz, with three stops in Łódź: Stoki, Marysin, and Arturówek. Journey time from Lodz, Kaliska to Zgierz will be 40 minutes – said president of LKA Andrzej Wasilewski.
The train connections have also been carefully coordinated with connections from Lodz to Warsaw.
