Festiwal Kolorów – Colour Festival returns to Łódź

In Łódź News

On Saturday (08.07.17) the fourth “Festiwal Kolorów” – Festival of Colours will take place in Łódź. The event will include concerts, dance shows, and of course having fun together by disposing of bags of colored powder.

The festival will rely primarily on the colourful powders being thrown into the air amongst the participants. It is modeled on the Hindu spring festival – Holi. It is a joyous celebration, reminiscent of Polish śmigus-dyngus, but instead of water, coloured powders are being used.

The Łódź Festival of Colours will take place on Blonie (between Juszczakiewicza and Konstantynowska streets). It will start at 16:00, however from noon you will be able to purchase food from carts and buy the colour powders.

The event will come to a close at around 21:30 to allow visitors to go home, freshen up and then join the lively Łódź nightlife. Entrance to the festival is free of charge.
