Drunk police officer causes accident in Łódź

A police officer serving with the Łódź regional police headquarters has caused an accident at the intersection of ul. Rokicińska and Augustów in Łódź. An alcohol test carried out at the scene showed that the officer was over the legal limit.

The incident took place on Tuesday (11.04.). According to Radio Łódź, the police officer ignored the right of way of another driver and collided with the car of a 37-year female driver. At the time of the accident, the police officer was not on duty and was driving his private car.

An alcohol test carried out at the scene confirmed that the officer was over the legal limit. As a consequence, the officer, who has been serving in the police force for 26 years, faces expulsion from the police force.
