Bank Gospodarstwa Krajowego confirmed that it will be building apartments for rent in Łódź. This is the first investment of this kind in the city.
So far BGK built flats in Warsaw, Poznan and Krakow. – Now we will build in Łódź, says vice-president of the bank Radoslaw Stepien and stresses that these projects are of commercial nature and point to the potential of the city. Łódź joined the group of those few cities where the bank has invested into apartments for rent. -We are convinced that the development of the city justifies the investment- Stepien adds.
The first building with apartments for rent will be built in the immediate vicinity of the New Centre of Łódź in Składowa street. BGK won the tender for the land for 1.3 million PLN which will be paid to the city of Łódź.
Within three years, BGK wants to build up to one thousand apartments for rent in Łódź. – This will be the beginning with more than sixty flats, but this investment will not be the only and last. In the next few years we want to build up to one thousand apartments in Łódź, – says president of BGK Real Estate Ryszard Słowiński..
