The International Boat of Culture 2016 is already in full swing with a short film festival held at Kino Charlie in Łódź. Creative minds from across the globe presented their movies over a 3 day period. The actual festival will kick off this weekend, spread over 3 days, guaranteeing a truly international and cultural exchange.
On Friday, 10.06., at the Marel Edelman Dialogue Center, the festival organizers invite visitors to ‘Foreigner Stories”, a possibility to meet foreigners living in Łódź and hearing about their experiences, their challenges and their positive experiences. The event will start at 18:00 and will last until 20:30. Following the event at the dialogue center, the opening party to the festival will take place at Lokal (Al. Leona Schillera) from 22:00. Artists from Ukraine, Portugal and the UK will entertain visitors will acoustical delights.
For those able to get up early on Saturday, the festival continues at Piotrkowska 217. From 10:00 to 21;30, the organizers have thought of a rich program filled with activities for people of all ages. Workshops, a kids zone, and international market, human library are mixed with concerts, an international food exchange as well as exhibitions by artists from across Europe.
On Sunday, the festival organizers invite to OFF Piotrkowska (Piotrkowska 138 / 140) where a comedy show by improve.pl as well the final of the short film festival will be held. Sunday’s event will start at 20:00.
